James Russell, PLLC, was founded in 1988 in Lynnwood, Wash., as a small firm providing tax advice. As an individual practitioner, Jim had to quickly learn the skills of communication, perseverance, and service. Many of the lessons that he learned in those early years helped shape the solutions that his staff provide to this day. Most important, Jim learned how critical it was to give back to his clients based on the proposition of quality, value, and integrity – he wanted them to succeed as much as he wanted to achieve success himself. Coming from one of the largest CPA firms in the nation, he had always dreamed of working with smaller companies and helping them to grow and prosper.

Today, our firm serves over 200 small businesses and individuals with a wide range of tax and financial business planning. Many of our clients come from personal referrals. We take pride in being able to help them navigate the often challenging world of taxes, retirement, employment, estates, and the many other facets of running a successful business today.
